I recently moved, and while moving we put tape on the dresser to prevent the draws from opening. When I removed the tape, it left white marks on the wood. I need to know how to fix that.

  1. It sounds like the adhesive has come off the tape and remained on the wood. A gentle solvent will remove it. Try eucalyptus oil as it won't harm the timber or the finish.

  2. You can also use window cleaner. To get off the residue.

  3. ditto on the adhesive residue.  I use Goo-Gone or Naphtha for removing it.
