How do I fix my Canon PowerShot SD1000 camera to work?

Well, my mom has been complaining that our camera doesn't work. The camera itself is fine, but every time we use it to take a picuture the picture seems to come out blury and dicolored. I don't know what to do. My aunt is even visiting and now we can't take pictures. Help!!

Sounds like a pixel problem, don't worry if it's not your fault, and you haven't had it for a year yet, you can send it in  for warranty

follow that, that's canon's support page, it'll ask you to print a form, once you've printed it, fill it out, and ship your camera to the address it requests.
