How do I fix my Credit after I have ruined it?!?

I am wanting to fix my credit after I have ran my credit "through the dirt!" I grew up not understanding what credit and why credit is so very important and important to my life as well as my kids. Now I am wanting to fix my credit and I really dont know how to do it. I know that I need to get my credit report and start with that but beyond that can I do something else legally with an attorney or something like that? All anwsers will be appreciated, thanks!

To raise your credit score you need to do two things:

1 - add positive things to your credit records.  Such as paying your bills on time!

2 - Remove negative things from your records.  These may be mistakes made by the credit report companies or bills you haven’t paid!

I dont know where you live but in Australia bad debt usually lerks around 7 yrs after it has been cleared or ammended. Your best bet would be to fix the debt by paying it off and try to recoup a good name for yourself. Its not guna happen on its own so ya just gotta work your butt off and put absolutley every dollar you can onto those debts for any hope!! Good luck!!

You can fix your credit by getting a secured credit card. It uses a cash deposit as collateral and you can't spend over the cash limit you have on the card. secured credit cards are often used by people with no credit or bad credit.

You can also fix your credit if you pay your bills on time and in full.
