I think because once I was messing with the sound settings, I messed it up. No sound is comming out of my laptop and whenever i drag the mouse over the spot where it usually brings up the volume to adjust it, it just says: no audio output device is installed.

  1. maybe your drivers got uninstalled, but to be on the safe side...Control Panel, then System and then click the Hardware tab then click on Device manager...go down to sound, video and game controllers and click the little (+) plus sign next to it...if no other names appear...like the name of your sound card click on the very first item at the top of the list which is your computer name...and then click the little icon on the bar above the list which looks like a computer (scan for hardware changes) and see if it finds your sound card...if it does, simply follow the steps and keep clicking next until it is reinstalled...

    Good Luck

  2. Click start, control panel, sounds, speech and audio devices
