How do I fix my digital camera lense? It's frozen open.?

My digital camera lense is frozen open and I don't know how to fix it, can someone help me please?

Hi Dina....  the only time the lens on my digital point and shoot camera has frozen up in the extended position is when my batteries are low or completely drained.   Try that.  If you find this is not the problem....  something inside the camera is broken... the motor maybe.  If this is the case,  just take it into camera repair.  The repair tech will give you an evaluation of what the issue is and if it needs to be repaired, he will give you an estimate.   Sure hope it is the batteries.  Thanks for reading.  :))
