How do I fix my sound on pc?

Question

I can't see the volume icon on my desktop (next to the clock) and when I open audio properties to check if its not on mute... it says no audio device. How do I fix that?

I tried updating drivers and I updated windows, but still no sound.

Can someone help me please?

Click START

Click Control Panel

Click on System

Click on Hardware

Click on Device Manager

Click on the + by Sound,video,game Contollers

*IF* you see any Yellow & Black ! point or Red X  REMOVE them

Note: Even IF you don't see the above mentioned ! or X, just remove the sound card drivers anyway, then do the Shutdown

Shutdown your computer, NOT RESTART

Wait at least 2 minutes then restart computer

Windows SHOULD find and REinstall  the drivers
