How do I force it to clear my avatar?

I can't get the Avatar maker to clear my avatar. I've clicked the button a million times, but nothing happens! I want to create a completely new one, not edit the one I currently have. How do I force it to clear the thing so I can start over without deleting my current avatar?

  1. on edit my info did you uncheck the box  to say no avatar
