  1. Guess I'd cheat and do it the easy way. Fool the eye.........use paint in a diff color than the wall to create your faux frame. Works great!! Super easy too!

You can still do it the normal way as long as the metal frame isn't too large.  Choose your molding whether it's crown or standard and miter cut it so that the outside edge of the frame lines up with the outside edge of the mirror.  Picture frame molding may work best since it will have a groove in the back which may fit around the metal frame.

    Finish the frame however you want (paint, stain faux finish, etc.).  Attach to your mirror using something like liquid nails or I've seen some people suggest a mirror adhesive.  If it's something you think you would want to remove you could even try using velcro.  Seal the joints if necessary.  Voila...a framed mirror.

  3. unless you know how to cut the frame take it to framing shop for good fit-they can over lap old frame
