How do I fully eliminate search assist?

Hello Myron H

Go to http://www.yahoo.com/ .  At the top of the screen there is a search box with a 'tab', click it.  As it opens look to the right and click 'OFF'.  

Go to http://search.yahoo.com/ .  Click 'Options', 'Preferences', scroll to 'Search Assistant', click 'Edit', select 'Never', click 'Save'.  Click 'Finished' to save and exit.

As long as you're logged into Yahoo! your settings will hold.  When you're logged out of Yahoo! Search Assistant is active.
