  1. start all over and introduce your self to her, gradually get closer to her and give her treats and she'll eventually come round, no probs!

  2. Try giving her a treat to calm her in your hands kinda like a reward. It might help I've never had a rat but one of my ferrets did the same thing. The treat thing work for me but after a while you only give to good behavior.

  3. get it a playmate, a cat is a good choice

  4. threaten her with this.

  5. I have four male rats, from a rescue centre, and had a similar problem to you with one of the boys, he hated to be picked up, and would squeak his head off til i put him back in the cage.

I backed off a little, and didnt attempt to pick him up for a while, but i would put my hand in the cage, and allow him to smell it, then after a few days, he allowed me to stroke him gently, he loved me rubbing his little ears! After that, i started to give him little yogurt drop treats, and he'd happily take them from me.Food is a great way of building up trust! Soon, when he saw me approach, he come bounding up to me, so i left open the cage door, and soon enough, he started to crawl onto my hands, now he loves to be petted, and i pop him on the bed while im lying watching tv, and he'll happily come up for a little cuddle or a tummy tickle!

Just take things slowly, and im sure in no time you will be able to build up her trust, good luck xx
