Question:

How do I gain weight?

Any suggestions? I'm quite tall and I'm in varsity, so it's quite difficult. Please help!

  1. well quit varsity cuz u wil just keep losing the weight ur trying to gain. and u may have a high metabolism like me so its even more hard. u just need to sit on the couch for a couple days and eat every thing.


  2. Dairy products and Pasta foods help a lot to gain weight.

    Eat ALOT and don't exercise.

    but then again if you have a fast metabolism...you might not gain as much as expected.

  3. Whatever you do, don't binge on junk food, you'll get stretchmarks! Believe me i know. Eating high protein foods like fish, red meat and eggs are good for building up. Weight lifting and lunges are good too.

  4. most people gain weight by eating starches and high fat and calorie foods and then don't exercise.

    -chocolate

    -cream

    -ice-cream

    -avokados

    - dried figs

    - pasta

    - also remember your proteins and veggies!

    - remember to come off the chocolate etc. when you are at your ideal weight!

    I used to be real skinny until I was 30 but then my genes caught up with me. Skinnyness can be genetic. If  you have quick metabolism, you don't put on weight so easily.

Eat a lot of comfort foods like mac and cheese, mashed potato's, eat more red meat, basically take in more calories then you can burn off you know how it goes just be careful you dont want to get sick and gaining weight rapidly can be very dangerous to your health, so ironically make sure your gaining weight the healthy way :)

  7. Eating is the first and most important factor that is needed for proper weight gain. It's simple - you need to eat more calories than you burn. This does not mean eating anything and everything that is not nailed down. Carefully plan your meals with foods that will help you gain lean mass, not fat. I suggest 6 meals. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and three other small meals scheduled throughout the day. The goal is to eat every 2.5 to 3 hours.

    Focus on foods such as steak, chicken, fruit, milk, vegetables, cheese and assorted types of nuts. It's recommended to eat 4 - 6 pieces of fresh fruit a day, and at least four tall glasses of milk. Milk is a great, cheap protein source - take advantage of it. A sample snack meal would be a glass of milk, an apple, and a hand full of peanuts.

  8. Most likely you are one of the people that can not put on weight by eating lots (i am in this category too)... as a result there is only one way to gain weight if you are in this category:

    EXCERSIZE!

    Muscle mass weighs more than fat and for many thin people the world over it is easier to gain muscle than to gain fat.

    I am in this category and as i never gain fat then i can judge my fitness easily by seeing how much i weigh... if i weigh more then i am fitter.

    Personally i would like some fat... would keep me warm on cold nights.
