How do I get ANTIVIR64 of my computer?

Question

I accidentally installed antivir64 onto my computer, because it told me my computer was endangered. Now I cant get it of, cannot deinstall and cannot delete. It keeps switching itself on.

What can I do?

Antivir64 is a rogue anti-spyware program that displays false and exaggerated scan results. Thankfully, though, there is a totally free way to remove this program.

New one to me, first i would do a free on line scan to see if its a trojan:

http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html

If it finds anything in System Volume Information, turn off system restore, boot in safe mode with networking & do the scan again.

E mail me if it finds anything.

If this does not work try:

(no need to buy free to try)

If this does no do the trick run vundofix:

A very good, free anti-virus available to download is AVG 8 Anti-virus:

And for any spyware problems, get SpyBot - Search and Destroy:

Also, for protecting your personal info and files, use Ad-Aware 2008 Free Edition:

All of them are free, as powerful as paid programs, like Norton and McAfee, and don't use up as many resources.

Just boot into Safe Mode (Press F8 when turning on the computer) and run full scans.

Download the free version of Superantispyware.  I use this program and will resolve your problem as this software finds nasty viruses and spyware and best of all does not conflict with your own antivirus.  http://www.superantispyware.com  Update and run and in depth scan.  Free you must update daily on a manual basis or purchase and get auto. updates.
