How do I get Biro stains off my beaded top?

A biro leaked through my canvas bag and has plastered my new top (which has rows of small beads round the bottom) with 'smudged' Biro ink. Any ideas as to how to remove it please?

SPRAY IT WITH HAIRSPRAY AND THEN RUB IT ,IT WILL EVENTUALLY COME OFF

try using milk, my wife swears by it, she has used it on meany things, where biro has leaked or the kids have drawn on things they shouldn't have, like when our daughter did a lovely picture of a house on the sofa in biro, and it was milk that got it out. good luck

Washable fabric:

Use methylated spirit on stain, then wash in cold water to which biological detergent has been added.



Non-washable fabric:

Dry clean

Hairspray.  Squirt it over the ink stain. The hair spray will dissolve the ink and it will disappear.  Obviously be careful with top because of the beads.  Just keep re applying the hair spray as often as you can till all the ink comes out.  The cheaper  hair sprays often work best.  Then wash carefully to get the smell and touch of the hairspray out.  It will make your top kind of sticky and stiff. But trust me it does work!!
