Ok, I work for a company that as part of the services they offer, they are a retailer for a competitor of Dish. (You know who but I probably shouldn't say it.) Anyway, since I deal with the other company's customers often enough, I know that when they say they are thikning about switching to Dish Network, we go into action and try to keep them as a customer by offering free movie channels or programming credits for a year or whatever.

I am a Dish Network customer - have been for 4 years - and I just tried that with them, and they were said there wasn't anything they can offer to retain my business. Just wondering if anyone out there knows what the key phrase is to get to someone at Dish that can offer me programming credit.

  1. Follow through and change from Dish to DirecTV, take advantage of the new subscriber benefits from DirecTV and it won't be long before Dish comes back to get you back.  Then you will have 2 services with basically the same service wanting you to be their customer.  If the offer from DirecTV is not low enough, then contact your cable provider or telephone company if they offer video.  Competition between providers is the key.
