How do I get LAUNCHcast to work?

Well, I can open LAUNCHcast. When it opens, it shows a dark purple bar at the top and a light purple background, but nothing shows up but those two things. I am running LAUNCHcast on an Apple system, does it matter? And, do I need to install something special on my computer?
