How do I get XM radio in my car?

I have a 2005 audi a4 cabriolet and I know it has a satelite radio receptor (or whatever) in it. But I don't subscribe to XM radio, If I start subscribing how do I activate it in my car?

Go to channel 1 and get the 8 digit ID number, and call 1-800-XMRADIO
