To work in a Day Care, they required me a CPR test. Can anyone please explain how/where do I take this test and how long does it take to get the test? Thanks you!

  1. beside red cross, try local YMCA. They offer weekend CPR classes in my area

  2. American Red Cross or American Heart Association are the major organizations that test you for CPR. They have Infant/Child CPR, Adult CPR/AED, and First Aid available. I have just got those 3 certifications for my teaching job.

Enter your Zip Code to find the nearest American Red Cross

They allow you to sign up for classes online and will give you the times, dates, and amounts of people already enrolled in the program. I was lucky and knew somebody who teaches CPR & First Aid so i was taught the classes for free. All i had to do was pay a small fee to use the dummies, buy the material, and purchase my certification cards.

  3. Call your local chapter of The American Red Cross. The training usually is done in a one day class. It is very simple and easy to learn. The explain and demonstrate how it is done. Then have you demonstrate what you learned on a human dummy. Once you have completed the class and passed, you will recieve a certification card that is good for one to two years.
