I want a vibrato when I sing! I have been reading up on it everywhere and as much as I can. I've tried breathing techniques and different exercises to try to bring it out. I've watched Eric Arcenaux on YouTube. However, none of these have really been working! HELP! I WANT A VIBRATO!

  1. you really gotta feel it and you need to have resonance and make it strong. try taking a half yawn and then singing one line from a song and then keep doing that and eventually you will get it, or you could take voice lessons .

  2. Unfortunately, you can't force a vibrato on your voice without risking harming your voice.  You can try to make your voice vibrate with different breathing techniques, but it will probably sound forced and not real.  You might find, as you go higher or lower in your range, that a vibrato will naturally form, to help you stay on pitch. Remember to build your range healthily, though, don't push it!

Take it from someone who has a strong vibrato, and is working hard to control it, you are very lucky!

Hope everything works out, stay healthy and safe in all the techniques you are trying, a beautiful voice is a terrible thing to waste!

  3. Vibrato is a way for singers to hide pitch fluctuations in their voices. You don't want vibrato. If you dont have it then that means you have great control over your voice. Congrats! If you continue learning and practicing it will naturally form as you challenge your voice more and need it. But believe me, it is better without it. Whatever you do, don't try to make your voice vibrate. If you really need to make vibrato then you need to relax your voice a little. Try moving around as you sing. Roll your head around so you can't hold your throat at all. This will help you relax and maybe form some vibrato.

    Good luck!

  4. you dont just get to have it. you need to go to voice lessons and then PRACTICE.
