How do I get a Stimilus check?

I am a disabled veteran and recieve a monthly check from the Va and there for I do not file my taxes I was told that I am still eligible for the stimilus check does any one know what I need to do?

If you don't file taxes, you don't get a check.

If you did not get a letter in the mail, more then likely you would not be getting one..

You don't want it.. if you don't make more than 25,000 a year... you don't get much. In the end it won't be worth the effort.

I know it totally makes sense... you make more money... you get more money from the government.

Those who are disabled can get a stimulus check, my parents did, just go to turbo tax and fill out the free forms 1099 I think , all the details are there to help you.

I am too, you have to have filed a "zero" return even though you have no taxable income.  I had to file even though I pay no taxes, then I got the check.  If you were getting it, you would have gotten it by now.  Sorry brother.

you should go to the gov. website and they have all the answers you seek...and a number to call.

You must have at least $3,000 income to qualify, luckily your VA benefits count as qualifying income.  You do need to file a tax return, but it is not too late!  You have until October 15 to file.  Please see the link below for an exact answer to your question from the IRS, complete with instructions on what to do next.  Good luck!

Whoever told you that is incorrect. According to officials, you must have filed your taxes to get a check (so that they know you exist, and they can send one to you).

But, you are of a special situation, so I would go to your local army office (or what not), and ask them.

You have to have filed a return for 2007 to get the stimulus check.
