How do I get a balcony view if they are sold out on Carnival?

My hubby and I are wanting to take a Carnival Cruise for 5 days from Galveston, TX during Feb. 2008. I am trying to book the cruise, but I know it is kind of late doing so, and the balcony rooms are all taken.

I know that travel agents or discount cruise companies purchase rooms in bulk, right? How can I find a company or someone that has a balcony view I can purchase for this 5 day cruise?

I dont know if they do that or not. Maybe try calling different TA and see if they can help you.

The Ecstasy doesn't have balconies..

Try the Conquest for 7 days.. much better trip

If a balcony view is sold out then you can't get one unless somebody else un-books theirs. Good luck :)

The Conquest is a much better trip and you can get a cat 8A. Call a discounted travel agency and they should be able to snag you one.

If you are wanting a Carnival 5 day cruise from Galveston, that would be on the Ecstasy.  The Ecstasy doesn't have balcony cabins except for suites.  You can change your choice of ships and go on the Conquest or book a suite!

The only five day cruise from Galveston on Carnival is on the Carnival Ecstasy.  The Carnival Ecstasy does not have any balcony cabins (category eight or nine).  The Carnival Ecstasy does have suites (category eleven and twelve) with balconies, but it does not have any balcony cabins.  If all the suites are sold out, then get an ocean view cabin near the elevator so you can easily go up to the Verandah Deck or get an inside cabin on the Verandah Deck and walk out to the outside deck anytime you want.
