How do I get a car if I don't have proof of a job?

I have a job but I get paid with like personal checks from the company. I have a 708 in credit. How do I get a car? I know places that take bad credit, but I don't know how to show proof of a job if I don't have those check stubs.

You'll need a letter form the company on their letterhead, stating how much they pay you each month. It's then verified by the dealer. You're a contract worker, since you don't get a pay check, so you have to state on the credit app that you are self employed. And back it with your company's letter.

Copies of their checks you deposited into your own account is also necessary. Some lenders will accept their letter and your cancelled checks. Some won't. It's up to each lender how to deal with this. Good luck.
