I own 2 1984 jaguars

--one was held for back rent on a house, never claimed (title was never transferred either), and given to me.

I DO NOT HAVE ANY VEHICLE DOCS TITLE OR OTHERWISE

--the other one I bought off ebay from a former car dealer in ohio (his dealership went debunk and he sold off all of his vehicles, but could not get titles for any of them...why? i dont know)

I DO HAVE A HANDWRITTEN BILL OF SALE BUT NO TITLE OR VEHICLE DOCS

-----My question is: Is there any way to get a title for either in MICHIGAN, or am I just S.O.L.?

if so I will sell the junker for scrap and the other on ebay.

  1. There is a company in Alabama that does titling for old, antique cars. The company is called broadway title.  We have used them in the past to replace and or get titles for cars that didn't have one.  You need info such as: year, make , model, mileage and a bill of sale it is usually around 190.00 and takes about 1 month to do the search and paper work. Once you receive the paperwork you will be able to get the vehicle titled in your state.

  2. targetarcher911, Let me start out by saying I'm not when it comes to auto repair. Last month I had an accident with my Ford Explorer and I wasn't sure how to fix them. I tried to search the web for tips, but the procedures were way too difficult for my skills. I ended up going to the dealship for my repairs. The dealership tends to charge more than mom and pop repair shops, but they've seen all sorts of situations (auto insurance problems, repair warranty issues, etc) and they seem to always find a way to help me. Maybe you can try calling auto repair shops in Michigan to see if they can help you. http://www.autorepairshoplocator.com/Mic...

  3. well tittle are issued they are given by seller... so who at it before you got it will be tittle holder... only way of getting a new one is apply at dmv they will have to run a check on it sometimes taking a while to see if its not stolen.. and for the other one i bet he didnt pay for the cars so he didnt have the tittles to them ... that one wil be much harder to get if you can at all.. either way your going to have to go to the dmv
