How do I get a cell phone on sims 2?

Question

I was playing sims and I have:

open for business

pets

celebration

nightlife

university

and plain old sims 2

now one of the teens I created wants a cel phone, how do I get it?

you can go to a community lot and buy one.

Sims Gone Wired in Downtown has every electronic ur teen could possibly want. DONT use cheats to acquire one, because it wont fulfill the want.

if u just dont care, and just want ur sims to have cell phones, however, the cheat is just fine.

press "Ctrl Shift C" to pop up the cheat thing, its a little white box on the top of the screen

then type in "boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true" and press enter

pause the game and press "shift" while clicking on the sim

there should be like 20 different things you can do

keep pressing "more..." untill you see the button marked "give sim cell phone" and click it!!!

The Sellaphone Electronics Kiosk came with University. You can find it on many of the college community lots if any of your college sims want to buy one.

However in your normal neighbourhoods you have to enter one of your community or business lots while you're on the neighbourhood screen and physically place a Sellaphone kiosk on the lot. The easiest way to find it is to open the University Collections folder. I think the folder you find it in is the University Community Collections folder but I'm not 100% sure; just look through them all, there's only a couple of University Collection folders anyway. The kiosk is a two-tiled blue machine. After you have placed it on the lot your Sims in that neighbourhood will then be able to travel to that lot to buy a cellphone from the kiosk. The kiosks also sell MP3 players and handheld video games :)
