How do I get a copy of a death cerificate? And....?

If my grandfather died in California but was burried in Ohio where would I look for the death certificate and how do I find exactly where he was burried?

  1. You'll need to contact the county in CA that he died in to request and obtain a copy of his death certificate.  There will be a fee.  

    If his remains were sent to a funeral home in Ohio that information may be on the death certificate.  You could then contact them to see if they have a record of where he was buried.
