I live in a mobile home community and I lease the land on which my home is standing. I wish to add addition to my home but the village office told me that I need to provide them with a survey of the lot. Is there a place I can get that from, like Township Construction Office or something? I live in NJ.

  1. The local County Clerks office should have the survey.  Or your local tax office.

  2. You get it from the Lessor--your mobile home community owner.  They own the property.  They have a plat of survey and you can get a copy, generally for a fee.  You probably need their permission too.
