How do I get a free horoscope reading online?

I would like to learn about that whole "scorpio rising" thing. All I know is that I am an aquarius...I want to know what the heck I have rising.

Ascendant is the sign rising from the east at the time of your birth at the place you were born and becomes the first house of the horoscope.

All calculation of houses and effects starts from the ascendant.

The ascendant can be found out pretty easily.

1 Check the sign the sun is in on the give day.

2 Check the sunrise time. when sun rises its the same asc as

    sun sign

3. Ascendant changes around every 2 hours.

So if you were born with sun in aquarius and the sun rise time was around 8 am then aquarius wd be rising in the east at 8 AM

So say you were born at 2 pm then the rising sign for you would be aries or taurus depending on the number of days that had passes after sun had come into aquarius.

You can get a rough estimate with this.

Simple way is to visit some free website like astro.com and find out your ascendant there.

There is a difference in arc measurement so a sidereal and indian ascendant will be different than the western one.
