  1. Talk with high-ranking employees of local golf courses. Carts cost several thousand dollars, but you may find a course that's planning to or has recently updated their fleet.

Be prepared to offer a list of potential benefits the COURSE may expect from this transaction. If the donation would qualify for tax purposes, for example, or if you would be willing to schedule an end-of-year banquet or fun day with their facility. Could you provide them with advertising in some way? (Distribute materials to parents, sign on the scoreboard/fences, or on the cart itself?)

When people are made aware of "what's in it for them," they are much more willing to discuss your proposals.

    Best of luck!

  2. Get a member parent's company to donate one, in return to advertising rights, such as displaying logo on your jerseys, or something like that.

Or contact the First Tee, a charitable organization which may be willing to sponsor a baseball team.  But they will ask why why a baseball team needs a golf cart in the first place.  Especially youth baseball team which presumably does not have any disabled member, who may need the assistance of golf cart.

  3. Why does a youth baseball team need a golf cart? Kids can run and walk, the adults who participate can also run and walk.Don't use the excuse that the bull pen is beyond the fielders! The boys are young and the walk will do them good.
