I'm 16 and I really wanna work at dunkin donuts.. but if i can only work on weekends will they still hire me?

How do you ask for an application? how do you find the manager or someone in charge? do i just ask anyone around where the manager is bcoz i'm looking for a job? I've done this once at a DD and the "shift leader" said there weren't any job openings and i got so embarrassed.. =( what if that happens again!!!! even if there's no listing on job searching websites and they have no signs on windows is it possible that they might be hiring???

ok, at this DD store there are dunkin donuts, baskin robbins, and the deli (don't know what it's called). but what i wanna do is make drinks not wrapping a sandwich... if i just apply for "crew member" position what will i do..?

I have a 1 yr experience from a small local bakery/cafe so i know how to make coffees/shakes/lattes and stuff... will this be a plus? if i tell them about this will they put me in that position?

  1. It might help to know that I'm just starting a job at DD.  I went to snagsajob.com.  Be honest about the hours you can work.  Don't be embarrassed to ask the assistant manager.  they usually are very happy to hear from customers.  Just remember the time of year they need help, and to keep checking in from time-to-time so they get to know you.  that's very important. Good luck!

    A recent hire,

  2. Here's what the Dunkin' Donuts website says about flexible work hours:

"At Dunkin' we want to help you be at your best so we create flexible work schedules to meet your needs. Whether you're a full-time student, a mother of two, or just looking to make some extra cash, we'll work with you because we value the skills that every employee brings to our store.

    And...

    "IN STORE POSITIONS

Did you know that all Dunkin' Donuts restaurants are independently owned and operated? To learn about employment opportunities in your area, please visit a Dunkin' Donuts restaurant near you OR check for positions on-line. (Please note - not all Dunkin' Donuts restaurant owners post jobs online.)"

So start by looking here: https://www.opportunitiesbrewin.com/

If you don't see any jobs for the store you want, dress nicely and go in and ask for the manager. They will ask you why. Tell them you want to ask about job openings, but if they try to push you off, be quietly firm about wanting to speak with the manager.

Smile! Ask the manager if there are any weekend openings for the donuts and coffee section. You can say that's where you have experience, and that's what you're interested in. (It's possible that you'll be trained on all the areas and have to work them all.) Ask to fill out an application, even if there are no current openings, in case something comes up in the future. Ask how to indicate on the app that you're interested in the donuts positions.
