How do I get a pet chicken in the United States.?

I love pet chickens and I was wondering how I could get one in the United States because they are illegal.

Illegal? Huh? Lot's of people keep chickens, especially out in the country. If you live in a city there may be restrictions against keeping farm animals. As kids we got chicks at a feed store. I don't think it was even out in the country! But check the town laws carefully - you may be able to keep a bird or two legally.

well everyone is probably misunderstanding you did you mean how can you get one in the us from a different country yes that is illegal (well to sneak it in) you have to have it checked and quarantined for 30 days by a vet and there is some sort of certification your chicken will get before you can even thing about bringing it to the usa its the same that parrots go thought when they are imported to he usa

they are not illegal for the fact. also you can get chicken at shoprite. or stop and shop. lol hahhaahhahhaha. j/k go to a farm.
