How do I get a plumbing/heating EPA license?

I want the license to work on my own water heater and furnace.

I understand how the systems work, just not the paperwork needed to be official.

  1. First, You do not need a license, to work on your own stuff. The EPA requires licensing for purchasing and disposing of refrigerants. This is necassary for air conditioning, and refrigeration. Plumbers are licensed by the state, or city. If you know what you are doing, do it yourself.
