I know it's a long process but how do I do it? I have an idea so maybe I will see how far I can go with it.

  1. The process will vary from state to state. The first step is to contact the office of the Secretary of State where you live and find out what the detailed process is.

Generally, a citizen can put a proposition on the ballot by sending the proposition to the Secretary of State's office  (or sometimes through the Office of the Attorney General), paying the required fee, then getting a certain percentage of registered voters to sign a petition asking for the proposition to appear on the ballot. Again, your state's procedure will vary because every state is different.

  2. Have your state senator introduce it and get it passed!!!

    Good luck with that.
