How do I get a reservation at Jarvis Bay Campground Sylvan Lake?

I have been phoning and phoning and when I get through they say. "For reservations please try again" and when I try again they just do that again and again. Is there anyone working there? I don't live close to Jarvis Bay so I can't just go in an book a campsite.

As far as I know, that campsite doesnt open up until May 15th. Maybe try again then?

Reservations may be made beginning the first business day in May of each year (May 1, 2008) by calling the appropriate reservation office between 8:15 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; some sites may accept reservations earlier (Kananaskis Country reservations may be made beginning April 1, 2008).

You will be required to provide the following information when you make your reservation:

arrival and departure dates

name and address

telephone number (home and business)

type of equipment (e.g. tent, tent trailer, travel trailer, motorhome)

credit card number and expiry date

A $10.00 non-refundable reservation fee, plus a deposit equal to the first night's camping fee, is required to confirm your reservation.

MasterCardtm or VISAtm are the preferred means of payment.

The deposit is refundable only if your reservation is cancelled at least 2 days in advance.

You will likely get the message if you are calling after business hours or the lines are extremely busy. (This camp ground is one of the most sought after ones in the province)

You may want to try the number first thing in the morning. The campground fills up very early especially for the long weekends.
