How do I get a residence permit in England or Scotland?

And is there anything else I need? I want to move there and get a job for an indefinite time. I'm Swedish.

  1. You don't need  residence permit, but you might need to get one of those new ID cards they are talking of bringing in.  I think they are rolling them out first to non EU nationals, then EU nationals, then UK citizens..  If you want to get nationality here (not much point unless you want to work in the government) then you have to live here for 5 years (I think).


  2. Sweden is part of the EU, so you don't need a permit or visa to move here permanently.

    You are entitled to move here and work here
