How do I get a stain out of hardwood floors?

My cat coughed up a wet hairball over a hot-pink flyer on the floor. It bled through and stained the hardwood floor beneath. How do I get the stain out? I already tried to scrub at it with a cold wet cloth. Thanks.

Try OxyClean. It works great for my stains.

TEST  a SMALL spot with hydrogen peroxide on a cotton swab.  you may be able to GENTLY use a fine steel wool pad and paste wax to brighten it up after the peroxide. If it works, expand the area you are doing.  If that doesn't do it, I am afraid you are looking at a professional to sand and refinish the entire floor.
