How do I get a stuck cd out of my 2004 chevy malibu LS?

It is the original cd player that came in the car. When I press the eject button it makes noise and wont come out. How can I get it out without having to go to the shop. I don't think it is under warranty. I have barely even used the cd player. I think it has had a total of 10 cds in it so it shouldn't be messed up. Please help. Thanks!

needle nose pliers and don't expect to use that cd ever again once you get it out. I would grasp the edge of the cd with the pliers and then hit the eject button. as the player is trying to eject the cd pull gently on the cd with the pliers. Once you get it out, I wouldn't put any more cd's in that player.

take another cd and push the button and then with the other cd and pry on the cd while its trying to eject... i have to do that in my blazer every now and again gm sucks at building cd players good luck!

Most of the time you can't.  Remove the stereo unit, and take the side brackets off.  Then you can take the s***w out of the top and sides, and there are some metal tangs that you have to pry a little with a s***w driver. Then the whole top cover slides up.  Then you can unscrew the cd player and fish out the cd.
