Question:

How do I get a suite if they are sold out on Carnival?

My hubby and I are wanting to take a Carnival Cruise for 5 days from Galveston, TX during Feb. 2008. I am trying to book the cruise, but I know it is kind of late doing so, and the suites are seem to be all taken.

I know that travel agents or discount cruise companies purchase rooms in bulk, right? How can I find a company or someone that has a suite I can purchase for this 5 day cruise?

  1. If all the suites are sold out then there is no way you can get one..

  2. Your late out man! If it is solded out you can try to contact different travel agent but except to pay a high price if you found a cabin.

Its better to choice a date six mounth to a year in advance and book early on for better prices. Most cruise companys have theyre best prices very early. Good luck with the cruise. Johan

  3. Call carnival and speak with an agent.  I have been upgraded for free by doing that!

  4. The agents that reserve cabins in bulk release the reservation before the final payment is due.  Otherwise the agent has to pay for the cabin.  Right after payment is due some cabins open up (because the person who had the cabin reserved releases the reservation).  However, by now, any cabins that are showing as sold are fully paid for.

Your best bet is to contact Carnival and ask to be put on a waiting list.  However, if there are no suites available now for a February cruise, more than likely no new ones will open up (again, because by now the cabins have to be fully paid for).

  5. Go ahead and book the next best available cabin right now and put your name on the waitlist for a suite.  The Ecstasy only has a few suites so you may be out of luck.  This late in the day, you should find out right away if your waitlist comes through for you.

As far as cabins still held by agents, this close to sailing they would have had to give up their group space if they have not filled it yet.

  6. Easy... 1-888-CARNIVAL They will easily be able to hook you up with a suite or put you on an upgrade waiting list. Happy cruisin'!

  7. Let Carnival know you are interested in upgrading to a suite, but go ahead and book the next best room, so at least you have a place on the ship. You will then be put on a waiting list. If someone cancels their suite room, then you may get to be lucky. My husband and I were put on a waiting list for a very popular cruise, not expecting to get it, but 2 weeks later, we were booked. So good luck.
