Couple months ago I quit my teller job because I had a hard time keeping up with the bank hours and schedule. I was going to school full time. But now I need some money, so im looking for a teller job. The problem is I had been to 3 interviews (3 diff banks) but none have call me back. I explained to them why I quit my last job. Could this be the reason why they don't want to hire me again?

  1. Any company spends a lot of money and effort just hiring someone and they want some guarantees.

Their thought is: you knew your situation on your last job was going to be a little difficult. But remember, when you are being interviewed by someone, that person probably had to work and go to school at the same time, and she or he knows it can be done.

  2. Did you use your last teller job as a reference?  Would your old job rehire you?  Did you give notice if you quit?

IF you quit without giving notice, I would not use that last place of employment as a reference.  Unfortunately, most places of employment will bad mouth an employee or black list them, even if they're not suppose to.
