How do I get a used car license in NJ?

Is it even needed? If you have any websites that would be great. The reason why I'm asking is because my husband wants to open a mechanic shop and sell a few cars on the side as well. Please help!

I would approach a wholesale dealer to bring you to auction and take a fee to get you started. I believe in NJ, you must maintain a mechanical repair facility in order to get a used car license now. Someone may be looking for mechanics to recon or detail their stock. If you are in the north, I would ask around at the Teterboro marketplace.

If you are willing to work for wholesale, and get your retail dollars from used cars, it can be done. I will say - it ain't easy nowadays - especially in NNJ. Everybody is an expert...
