How do I get a website removed from search results or pushed back?

When I type in my name on Yahoo search there is a negative website that comes up about me but the owner of the site will not remove it because it is public info. How do I get this site removed or at least pushed back to the 4th or 5th page of results? Also, is it legal to post a bunch of negative stuff about the owner of the site and then blackmail them to take down the site?

leave it dormat,it'll get pushed back , just remember the more times you check it,the closer to the top it'll go. as for the rest of your question...if you know who did it, small claims court comes to mind. good luck.
