After I came home form work i decided to some laundry and as i stuck my hand in the laundry basket i noticed A LOT of small ants. I immedietly turned the washer on hot and threw my clothes in it.

Was that a good idea? Would the hot water kill the ants? And should I wash my clothes a second time before putting them in the dryer?

  1. Water will kill them even if its cold, but your clothes can shrink and bleed color in hot water.

  2. Yes, the ants that you washed will be well dead.

No, you don't need to wash again.

Try to find out where the ants are getting in and seal it off - perhaps using sealant.

If you look outside and see them heading towards your house just pour a kettle of hot water over them.

If they persist - give Ant Killer food as directed on the tube - they feed on it, take it to the Queen and they all go away when she dies.

    Best wishes.
