  1. Well just get a lot of speed then just go for it! worked for me

  2. right as you would on a skateboard, treat the wave as a half pipe. Get enough momentum as you approuch the top of the wave and a little hop, should get you some air. It depends on the wave and you ride style.

    hope i can help =)

  3. the big clambouski thinks you should just breath. enough air will come to lungs.

  4. i only skate street a lot too but learning vert will help so much more. just learn on like a 5ft. halfpipe. anyway, you have to ride up the face of the wave and like pop/snap like an ollie kinda. and make sure you get enough speed. i cant explain it well because i learned how to do this mostly on a halfpipe then took it out on the water. i hope this helps. have fun surfing!

  5. the best way i can describe it is---a mix of an ollie and a snap. don't try and ollie on the face of a wave when you are parallel, you'll never get it. you want to ollie/launch off the the top and snap it around. its kinda like one big "move" (i guess you could call it). there are certain sections of a wave that you can hit (ie, end sections) and half the work is done for you (if you have speed). i guess the key in learning (at least for me) was understanding that you have to, at some point, be near perpendicular in the air. practice the 180 "chop hop", that could help out.

once you get air--you have many more variations, but you gotta walk before you can run.....
