How do I get album artwork on my iPod?

Question

I just got an iPod Classic and put all of my music and videos onto it. I have no problems with it but only some random album covers appear on the iPod Cover Flow. I got a cd from a friend and his band and even that cover made it onto my iPod but almost none of the music I ripped onto iTunes from my own CDs are on there. They are all blank. Thinking about it now I realize the handful of songs I bought on iTunes have album artwork representing them. What do I do about the rest? How do I get the album covers to appear?

i was confused about this too when i first started using itunes,i own an ipod touch.its pretty simple actually,just go to the song u want artwork for,right-click,click get info,a box of options should appear and in the upper right panel,you'll see the tab "artwork".there you're going to have to add a picture or just simply copy and paste.you're going to have to find the picture on your own though,i recommend cdnow.com and jus copying the album cover.

In iTunes, click on "Advanced" at the top, then "Get Album Artwork."

You have to have an iTunes account to do this, and if you don't you could always find the album cover online (600 X 600 pixels) and change it manually by right clicking on a song and clicking "Get Info," then going to the Artwork tab.

u have to add it on to ur songs

right click a song and click get info and then go to the last tab

and add an ablum picture

omg thats easy all u have to do is click on the song with ur mouse click the right little button on it and then it should say get album artwork and but before u do that make sure that u have the correct spelling and on the artist and album then click get album artwork and thats it!

well you can find pictures online and drag and drop those into the album artwork screen on iTunes then u will have them but i dont bother with the artwork who cares but whatever floats ur boat.  you might have the songs on ur ipod and u just don't know it.  they might be under "songs" not "artists" on your ipod...thats common with me and a lot of my songs
