How do I get an audition?

I'm 12. I got one audition after a year on a website but its all the way in hollywood and my mom and dad says thats to far away. How do i get an audition in new jeresy or in new york or at least any?

see if your parents will let you pay for backstage.com, it is a newspaper that costs about 3 dollars per week.  it lists a ton of stuff in NY and NJ.  what is the website you were using?  if it is exploretalent please dont use it anymore.  its a waste of money and kind of a scam.

join classes or get in touch with people who know their way into the business... im 15 now and i started at your age, and now im actually FRIENDS with this dude who conducts auditions... its amazing what you can do when you know people

never pay any website to give you auditions caiuse its just a scam a real agent/agency is free and only gets 10-20 % of what you make doin commercials.
