How do I get an entry level positon with a Barge company?

Looking for a career on Barge sister inlaw says friend is making great money,I need this not for me but most of all my family,willing to relocate to work.

Any state along the Mississippi river has barges coming and going all day long. Louisiana is a good place to start but any state that manufactures or produces a bargable product will have shipping company offices there.
