How do I get blank drive to show up?

I have an extra hard drive which i'm trying to use as storage, I've changed the jumper settings and the Bios settings but it won't show up under My Computer. It will however be recognized in the BIOS.

do you have it config for slave or master

what ide port do you have it

did you paration it did you format it

sound like you have it plug in and set on the wrong jummper setting or ide port

You will need to format the hard drive if not so already.

Right click on my computer

Click on Manage

Click on Disk Management

You should be able to see your new Hard Drive

Right click on it and format it

your hard drive is not partitioned

right click the My Computer > mange > disk management >find there if you can see your new hard drive right click and create a new partition
