There is a way where you can change a player's team in madden 07 and 08, and i'm pretty sure the same will apply for madden 09. You just go to features on the main page and then you go to rosters. In this roster feature, you can trade a player or release them, and do other roster related things. Here, you can release Favre from the packers and put him on the jets from the free agency pool, or you can trade favre to the jets. This will all be in the features button on the madden main page. After this, the only thing you can do to keep him on the Jets is to save it onto you memory card. Then he will be permanently on the Jets unless you change it again. Hope this helps.

release him from the packers (if he already isnt) and sign him to the jets and the relese chad pennington from jets and add him to miami there u go

im not sure if they updated the rosters yet but if you go online and save the live roster he may be there?  hope so
