Am going to paint my kitchen, but 1st the grease has 2 be removed. Can anyone tell me what to use? Preferablly something I can buy at the store. And won't have to break our hands scrubbing it so hard. A friend told me that maybe Fanstastik might do the job. I remember using it and the dirt and grime and grease rolled down the walls. Anyone help me??

  1. Yeah they sell sprays at any wal-mart or hardware stores that gets rid of the grease. One thing that I find really works well is the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. We used it on our stove and it looks brand new. Good Luck..

  2. Fantastik or 409 will do the job. So will Simple Green.

  3. Before painting always clean with TSP.  It is located in the Paint department of the hardware store and is inexpensive.
