How do I get burn marks off my kitchen table?

Since I'm a moron I took a hot pan off the oven and put it down on the table and it left a burn ring how do I get it off by 7:00 AM tomorrow morning?

Not easily, if at all. You will have to sand all the lacquer off the whole flat surface of the table, if the burn is still there, you will have to try to scrape it off with a blade. Sand again, then re polish, sand again then topcoat. You do not have enough time I'm afraid

Is it charred, or is there just a ring of bad finish?  If the second, you can probably use something like "furniture refinisher" on 0000 steel wool and wipe down the entire surface of the table.

This is assuming a standard clear finish on wood furniture.
