How do I get chili out of my hands?

It's been several hours since I handled the chilies, but my hands are still hot when I touch my lips. I have to take my contacts out.

If you do get pepper burn, rub isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol on your skin to dissolve the capsaicin and then rinse it off. Rub an ointment, aloe vera, body lotion, or even milk products like yogurt over the area.

In general, you can soothe the capsaicin burn with milk products internally, and alcohol products externally.

uh-oh. I wouldn't count on getting them clean enough tonight. I would rub hands with warm cooking oil, then wash with hot water and dish detergent, repeat a few times. But it might not work.

Do you have any of those thin latex gloves to use when you take them out? It is worth a run to the store for that...

Or get a friend to take them out, preferable someone who wears contacts too.

I just wash my hands immediately after handling them.

do not touch  your eyes.try soaking some cotton sheets with milk and apply like compresses to hands and fingers.next time wear cooking gloves
