How do I get companies to doante items for a admin conference?

I am currently on the giveaway committee for the admin conference, and wanted to know how I could get companies to donate items for the giveaway bags? Our theme is V.I.P like the oscars.

How many people are going to be there?  If a lot of people, than that is easy.

Let me give you an example.  I have a website that gets 7000 hits a month.  I contacted a company about a product they have that cost $150 and I said, hi, I have this website and I would like to try your product and write about it.  

They said, no problem, and sent it to me.

So, if you have a lot of people, then they will be willing to give you free items.
